ORAL TABLETS
ANTIHISTAMINE – TREATMENT ALLERGY
FOR DOGS AND CATS
INGREDIENTS: Each 200 mg tablet contains:
Chlorpheniramine maleate………………….4 mg
INDICATIONS:
Inflamine is used for acute inflammatory and allergic conditions:
- Vaccination reactions.
- Blood transfusion reactions.
- Bee stings and insect bites.
- The management of itchy skin.
- Contact, inhaled or drug allergies.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
- For dogs: 4 – 12 mg orally two to three times daily (every 8 to 12 hours).
Dose should not exceed 0.25 mg/ per pound (or 0.5 mg/ kg).
– For cats: 2 – 4 mg per cat on the high end of the dosage given every 8 to 12 hours.
WARNINGS:
- Chlorpheniramine should not be used in animals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to drug.
- Animals with glaucoma, lung disease, heart disease, high blood pressure and prostate gland enlargement should not use chlorpheniramine.
- Chlorpheramine may interact with other medications. Consult with your veterinarian to determine if other drugs your pet it receiving could interact with chlorpheniramine maleate. Such drugs unclude epinephrine, amitraz, selegiline, tranquilizers, heparin, and barbiturates.
